Congress releases third list; J R Lobo, Ashok Rai, Muniyal Udaykumar Shetty get tickets

Bengaluru, Apr 15: The Congress party released its third list of 43 candidates for the upcoming legislative assembly elections.

Former MLA J R Lobo has been granted ticket from the Mangaluru South constituency, while Ashok Kumar Rai will fight the polls from Puttur constituency. Muniyal Udaykumar Shetty has been given ticket to contest from Karkala constituency.

Muniyal Udaykumar Shetty has earlier served as the vice president of Udupi district Congress.

The first and second list were released on March 25 and April 6 respectively.

In coastal region, U T Khader is offered ticket from Mangaluru, Mithun Rai from Moodbidri, Rakshit Shivaram from Beltangady, Ramanath Rai from Bantwal, Krishnappa G from Sullia, Gopal Poojary from Byndoor, Vinay Kumar Sorake from Kaup and Dinesh Hegde Molahalli from Kundapur legislative constituency. Prasad Raj Kanchan was given the election ticket to contest from the Udupi constituency.
