Shettar till last month end was abusing the Congress left and right. He was also mocking the BJ Yatra. Shetar was offered a senior position , a Rajya Sabha seat and all that by BJP. But he was very adamant on getting a ticket. Mind you, he want not doing anything in his constituency and wanted just to win in Modis name and hang on. Not sure if his constituency will vote for him now.

If there is a hung assembly and BJP requires some seats to form govt with JDS, Shettar will jump again to BJP. He would be citing it as a 'Ghar Wapsi' and he was BJP by birth and all that xhit. Not sure why Congress sidelined a 5 year hard working candidate to accommodate this Shettar only in the last minute.

Even if Congress gets absolute majority, Shettar will show his true colour and demand for DCM's post and will become kingmaker between the two vying contenders. He is still capable of influencing around 25 MLAs of his region.

Keep dreaming. SDPI will never get a seat even if they get 100% of minorities votes. Hardcore Congress supporters, regardless of religion, will vote for the Congress. Can you say the same about SDPI? Supporting SDPI only means cutting Congress votes, which is advantage BJP and that is why it is said BJP will be more than happy to see SDPI participating in the elections

What self-respect is Shettar talking about? You join a party for its policies & politicians. BJP made him a Chief Minister in the past. Yet he chose to migrate only because he wasn't given the ticket. This is the beligerence & shamelessness of these type of politicians where ego/power/money matters more than principles. Imagine fighting, scolding, abusing ,sledging & contesting against Congress your entire career and then joining it suddenly only because your 'so-called' self-respect was hurt. How can somebody do that? You should be an equally morally disgraced scoundrel to be able to do that. Sorry to say this, though!

Indeed quite amazing to see a staunch RSS man joined Congress. Secondly it's also below the dignity of an Ex-CM to join a party just for the sake of contesting an election to sit as a MLA.
