Mangaluru, Apr 19: “The MLA of Mangaluru South should release a white paper on the special grants released by the government for the development of the city,” said Congress leader and former MLC Ivan D'Souza.

Addressing media here on Wednesday, April 19, he said, “The MLA should provide information on the special grants released by the government for the development works in the city. The contribution of J R Lobo for the development of the city has been more. The sitting MLA failed to get any special grants for the development works.

“Congress' mantra is development, peace and harmony, and maintaining law and order. The history of the 2013 elections will repeat in 2023 in the coastal region of the state. The BJP has completely failed to give good administration. People are fed up due to the increase of prices of essential commodities. People will teach the BJP a lesson for running a corrupt administration. They do not have any moral right to seek votes from the people. They are still in the illusion of winning all constituencies.

“The BJP government failed to do justice to fishermen and minority communities. The promises made by the party to the fishermen and minorities in the region have not been fulfilled,” he said.

Mangaluru South Congress candidate and former MLA J R Lobo slammed Mangaluru City Corporation authorities for spraying water on the street vendors near Town Hall in Mangaluru to evict them.

J R Lobo will file his nomination on Thursday April 20. Lobo will visit temples, masjids, churches, and other places of worship before filing his nomination.

Tough Luck Ivan! Majority hindus will vote for Kamath. Minorities are divided , esp after CAA protests. AAP and SDPI has made inroads. So victory is a far cry.
