Cynthia, what you have posted is very true; one more observation, I have made is that the one's who are quite well off amongst the siblings are the ones who want more and more to satisfy their unending greed; but I have also observed, in rare instances, the sibling who is doing very well and comfortably settled would let go off (sacrifice) his share to the ones who are not so fortunate and financially unstable!!

What greed !!!! Yuckkk....Instead of robbing mother's gold, son and daughter in law should have jumped into the well to control their greed...Many daughter in laws fill the ears of husbands with regard to property/gold/cash...when in laws are alive !!!

There should be a just/equitable distribution of parents money and other properties between the various siblings of their progeny, which should be arrived at amicably after a congenial meeting of all concerned in case a living WILL is not written! One person grabbing all his parents wealth is totally unjustified and smacks of greed! In this case; however, nothing has been mentioned as to who got the mother's immovable property? BTW, this case appears to be a civil case, not criminal, and hence the police will not be of much help! Important to note that she was living alone; and after her demise all children have come to grab her property, which is cruel; but, this is the way things are going on at present in almost every family!! Also those who are well off are the greedy ones who want more and more!

You are 100% right. Especially the last sentence is to be written down in gold as it is more relevant now. I've seen it and has experienced it too.

Gold, shares and other movable property is very liquid; you can encash it anytime on the spot unlike immovable property!!
