Mangaluru, Apr 21: "I have not made people bow their heads as their representative. As the problem of sea erosion was solved, no houses were damaged in the Okhi gale," said former minister and Ullal Vidhan Sabha Congress candidate U T Khader at a public meeting before filing his nomination.

"Despite visits by the BJP chief minister and DC, a permanent solution for sea erosion was not possible at Uchila. However, the Congress party's approval secured the Rs 220 crore Harekala-Adyar project. The government did not release funds for a permanent water supply, but necessary projects will be taken up when the Congress party comes to power. The current election will be a battle between truth and falsehood. The BJP has 22 more days in the ICU bed, and the SDPI party provides oxygen to it," he added.

Ullal municipal council's former president Dinesh Rai and SDPI's former leader Ashraf Kinya also spoke at the event. Vidhan Sabha opposition leader B K Hariprasad, Vidhan Parishat member Manjunath Bhandary, Harish Kumar, former member Ivan D'Souza, former MLA Shakuntala Shetty, district Wakf former member Kanachur Monu, Muda former president Ibrahim Kodijal, Ullal block Congress president Ishwar Ullal, Harsharaj Mudya, Ullal block Congress president Sadashiva Ullal, and local Congress leaders were also present.

Taluk panchayat's former member Mohammed Mustafa compered the program.

    Off late you have taken the people for granted. Thats the big issue.. You have safe constituency to win from. Ideally you should have made way for Mr, Lobo in Ullala and you should have contested from Mangalore. Your real 'leadership' would have been to test.

    U t Khader is a smart politician if he has to come to power he will go to any level,but are his intentions good it's questionable?his he doing it for the true welfare of the people or is there any selfish motive behind his help we don't know and he himself has to answer that question,but according to me his motives are not good he also plays caste politics like every other politician of the region or the country,they always associate themselves with their own clan,which happens in both side let it be bjp or congress or any other party.

    Lol. I will not comment much on UT Khader, coz I don't really know much about him. Maybe he is a nice guy. But you, you are a scum who hides behind a phony name and is sycophantic in his love for congress and the Gandhi family, . But more importantly and fundamentally, driven by you rabid hatred towards BJP, RSS and Hindus. Hope some better sense prevails on historically proven converts like you.

    most of the non-chaddi mlas are soft spoken and approachable....only the nagpur gulam theory supporters beat even women....Khader bhai is a very rare breed of politicians...so open, good natured, well mannered and most of all very helpful..though I have never met him, i have heard about him from people of all religions.

    U T KHADER is s person humble by nature. I happend to meet him personally few days back and in his busy schedule he took time to talk to me and showed his humbleness on me. He has no headweight or rudeness in his talk, I really salute him for his noble gesture. We need such human beings in midst of us.
