Mangaluru, Apr 23: Mohiuddin Bava, the JD(S) candidate for Mangalore City North constituency has appealed to voters to join hands with him for a few days during the election campaign and give a befitting reply to those who insulted him by denying him the ticket.
Addressing party workers in Kulur on Sunday, April 23, Bava said, “I lost the ticket from the Congress party because of D K Shivakumar. He has given tickets to candidates who are going to lose the election to evade the ED authorities But, people of the constituency will bless me. If people bless me in the elections, I will sincerely work for them,”
He also said he will rebuild the JD(S) in the district and help the party win all the forthcoming local body elections.
“The Congress has done injustice to me. Even in the survey only my name was there as the candidate. But, voters in the constituency will reelect me. In the constituency it is direct fight between JD(S) and BJP,” Bava said.
MLC BM Farook said, “JD(S) is essential to the district. Party workers should work with Mohiuddin Bava to get him elected as MLA. It should be the aim of the party and all the party workers. BJP and Congress are the two faces of the same coin.”
He also opined that there is need for a regional party to grow and register its presence.
As many as 135 people from various political parties joined JD(S).
JD(S) leaders Madhav Gowda,Vasanth Poojary, Akshith Suvarna, Ramganesh, Sumathi Hegde, Amarashree, M B Sadhashiva, Mohammed Kunhi and others were present.
Later, Mohiuddin Bava took a walk around the constituency and met voters of the constituency on the road and even boarded a bus to campaign for his candidature in the elections.
