Kasargod: Driver seriously hurt in car-lorry collision at Uppala

Kasargod, Apr 26: A car driver was seriously injured after the vehicle which he was driving collided with a lorry in a road accident on the Uppala Bhagavathi Gate Highway.

The driver has been admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The car was travelling from Kerala towards Karnataka and the lorry was in the opposite direction and was Kerala bound from the state.

Due to the impact of the accident, the car got badly mangled and so was the front portion of the lorry that also saw the tyre come off.

Manjeshwar police have registered a case. No further details were available regarding the injured.

The highway was blocked for a few hours due to this accident and the police made way for the smooth flow of traffic by getting the mangled vehicles removed from the highway.
