Bantwal, Apr 28: "Congress party will definitely come to power in the state this time. The guarantee schemes announced by the Congress party will be passed in the first cabinet meeting. If not I will not come to you to seek vote again," assured Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai. He was speaking in the election campaigns at Acharipalke and Ningal Bakimar here.

"As people are devastated by price rises, women will be paid Rs 2,000 each by means of the Grihalaxmi scheme. 200 units of electricity per house will be free. The unemployed youth will be paid allowances. 10 kg rice will be distributed to everybody. Rahul Gandhi has announced free travel for women in government buses," he said.

"I was defeated last time by false propaganda despite conducting sufficient development in Bantwal. I am upset because of the manner in which I was defeated. Compare the administration of both the parties and elect Congress," he said.
