Kasargod, May 2: Miscreants pelted stones on Vande Bharath Express express that was introduced in Kerala.

The incident of stone throwing occurred at around 5 pm near Tirur of Malappuram district.

According to initial reports, minor scratches appeared on the window panes of the train due to the stones pelted on them. No one is injured. The train continued its journey to Thiruvananthapuram.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharath express on April 25. This train connects capital Thiruvananthapuram to the northernmost district of Kasargod of Kerala state.

    Even before Vande Bharath, there were two places in India, where stones were being pelted on running trains, just with no reason at all. One was Mumbai slum areas beside the tracks where stray children did it for fun. The second was Thalangara, Kasaragod.... you know there too some different type of stray children pelted stones on running trains!!!!

    They don’t deserve any more best. The central govt. had been too generous to this 100% literate (minus development) state. Just count the number of Kerala bound trains plying thru the Konkan Railway route, while we hardly have 3 north bound trains from Mangalore when currently there is need for trains to Pune and beyond Mumbai. This mean act must be the work of some organized miscreants with some dangerous motive.

    I agree with your opinion. But Sir, please understand that the kind of welcome Kerala people has given to Vande Bharat express, no other state in India did and even PM himself appreciated. But like every state, there are some bad elements in Kerala too. They shall be arrested and prosecuted. And one more thing, the number of people serving in Indian defence forces and paramilitary forces including BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF etc are huge comparing to costal Karnataka.

    The fact that stones were thrown in Kasargod and not in a majority dominant, or a neutral area in Kerala, suggests it could be the handiwork of chaddis, to divide and rule, and put the perception of blame on minority obviously. The andha bhakths (mostly duffers) will then think it is done by minority.....they have successfully used this stoning strategy during ram navami celebrations in west bengal also
