Mangaluru, May 2: Ashok Gehlot, chief minister (CM) of Rajasthan said on Tuesday May 2 that the promises made by the Congress were fulfilled in Rajasthan and the same will be done in Karnataka.

Addressing a press conference in the city, Gehlot said, “In Rajasthan, we provide a cooking gas cylinder for Rs 500, Rs 50000 will be deposited to the bank accounts of economically poor people, we have given Rs 25 lac insurance to human beings and Rs 4000 insurance to cows free of cost. Only fascist powers ridicule our government. The Congress is going to get a majority this time in Karnataka.”

On banning Bajrang Dal, Gehlot said, “The BJP is doing politics in the name of Bajrang Bali and Ram. We will not give any opportunity to this kind of politics. No one should form an organization in the name of God and use it for selfish motives.”

He further said, “We have fulfilled 85% of the promises made in our election manifesto in Rajasthan. We have presented five budgets and not increased any tax. We have fulfilled 95% of our budget promises.

“The BJP is keeping people in an illusion by saying that they will implement a Uniform Civil Code. Earlier too, they played the drama of implementing CAA. If they have guts, let them implement the Uniform Civil Code throughout the country. First implement the code in states where your governments are ruling. Why is this mentioned every time in the election manifesto?”

“Inflation issues are there in all states. In order to come out of it, these kinds of facilities should be provided. In Kerala, even the left front government has provided facilities for the public,” said Gehlot defending the guarantee promises if the Congress in Karnataka.

Gehlot also said, “People of Karnataka should not believe the BJP manifesto, which is a lie. They promise and they will not fulfill it while Congress has fulfilled 85% demands in Rajasthan. We prepared a manifesto on what the public needs. The BJP never speaks about problems or good governance. I challenge Modi to speak about problems and good governance the BJP has given if any.”
