Mangaluru, May 3: Konkani’s well known literary figure Mick Max’s most acclaimed Konkani drama ‘Sikeram Driver’ is making a huge roar worldwide. A very talented team led by the multitalented Dony Correa has successfully presented this drama in various parts of the world including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman and London. The team is all set to fly home for the very first time to present two back-to-back shows of ‘Sikeram Driver’.
The first show will be staged at Shirva church grounds on Saturday May 6 at 6.15 pm. The Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh (R), Shirva unit, is organizing this show. The second show will be held at St Aloysius College (LCRI auditorium) Mangaluru on Sunday May 7 at 6.15 pm. The show is being organized by Astitva (R) Mangaluru as a part of ‘May Hover Art Fest’, an international theater festival. Drama lovers can enjoy the masterpiece for free. Entry is free for both the shows.
Preparations are in full swing and the organizers have not left any stone unturned to make it a memorable event. Eminent personalities like Meena Rebimbus, Walter Nandalike, Joseph Mathias, Melwin Peris, Vijaykumar Kodialbail, Dr Prashant Raj, and many more will grace the second show that will be held in Mangaluru. ‘Sikeram Driver’ is beautifully penned by very popular theatre personality the late Mick Max which has a perfect blend of humour, emotion, drama, suspense and loads of entertainment.
The masterpiece of Mick Max will be presented by very talented and gifted artistes from Dubai. Dony Correa and his talented team are all set to present the drama, with music composed by well-known drama musician Rohan Kalakul, lights designed by the very talented Melwin Kalakul and stage administration by Ashok D’Almeida.
Renowned actors including Asha Correa, Irene Mendonca, Godwin Castelino, Sunil Suvarna, Vincy Lobo, Robert Mendonca, and Dony Correa himself will be portraying the character of ‘Sikeram Driver’. The talented artistes have mesmerized the audience wherever they have performed across the globe, through their powerful and brilliant acting skills. The drama troupe from Dubai is all set to rock the twin shows at home in front of their home crowd.
