Congress will take 85% commission if voted to power, says Modi in Mangaluru

Mangaluru May 3: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a mammoth crowd during a public meet at Mulki on Wednesday May 3.

Addressing the gathering in Tulu, he said, “On May 10, help me to make BJP’s vision successful to make Karnataka number one. Karnataka has upgraded infrastructure development and super power manufacturing state with a strong government. The Congress want votes because one of its leaders is retiring. The Congress also want votes to withdraw the people-friendly decisions of the BJP and its projects and vision.

“I have been in Karnataka since many days now and have seen the love and affection of people, children and farmers. They want the BJP to be in majority in the state.

"Appeasement is the only identity of the Congress party. You want to let them rule this state? Let Karnataka be destroyed? Whichever state wants progress and prosperity they will put the Congress party out first. If peace is there in the society, Congress can't be at peace. If the country is progressing, Congress can't tolerate it.

“The Congress party pursues the policy of divide and rule. Karnataka has seen its scary face. They are saving terror suspects and letting them out,” he said.

While highlighting the government's achievements, PM Modi said, "Today children from every city and town are talking about the G20 summit. The conferences of G20 are taking place in small cities across the country. One of the agenda of G20 is female-led development.

"The BJP wants to make Karnataka a number one state in terms of development. What does Congress want? They want to make Karnataka, the ATM of a family based in New Delhi. They will take 85% commission and will take us backward. The people of Karnataka should be cautious of Congress and JD(S) as well.

“The first time young voters will decide the future of the country and their future as well. I want to urge all the first time voters, if you want to build career and future, it is not possible if Congress is here. The Congress is an enemy of peace and development. They seek support from anti-nationals in elections. The BJP respects army, but the Congress insults them. The ‘reverse-gear’ Congress are insulting the country globally. Our country has gained respect globally. It is all due to your votes that we have a stable government in Delhi and gained respect all over the world,” he said.

Urging the public to help the BJP gain majority, Modi raised the slogan ‘E Baariya Nirdhara - Bahumatha BJP Sarkara’.

He further said, “The BJP double engine government has fulfilled all demands and brought projects favouring woman empowerment. We have introduced schemes for farmers and also mudra schemes. The BJP has made a separate ministry for fisheries. The Congress could not see the problems of fishermen sitting in Delhi while they were in power. Modi could see it from Delhi and hence worked for the welfare of the fishermen community. The inland fishing production double from 60 lac ton to 120 lac ton in the tenure of the double engine government.

“Karnataka has done well in space sector and made the country proud. The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has earned profit after a long time as the BJP is serving the country sincerely. Karnataka can witness futuristic growth only if BJP comes to power again. We prioritise youths’ future. The number of start-ups were countable in 2014. Today, we have one lac start-ups. We have lacs of Atal Tinkering Lab with innovative technology as students can develop ideas for start-ups. It is like nursery of start-ups.

“The Indian economy has reached the fifth position in the world. When we reached the fifth position from the ninth, the entire world began noticing us. The Modi government has beaten England in world economy.

“I need your help to help reach the Indian economy to the third position. Every vote on May 10 will decide the future of the state. Go to every house and convince people and tell about what the BJP has done and to vote for a better future of Karnataka,” he said.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, district in charge minister Sunil Kumar, union minister Shobha Karandlaje, BJP sitting MLAs Rajesh Naik, Dr Bharath Y Shetty, Vedavyas Kamath, Umanath Kotian, Harish Poonja, BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri, Sullia candidate Bhagirathi Murulya, Kaup candidate Gurme Suresh Shetty and others were present.
