Udupi, May 3: "There is no proposal before the Congress to ban Bajrang Dal," clarified former Karnataka chief minister and veteran leader Veerappa Moily.

Speaking in Udupi on Wednesday May 3, Moily said that the state government does not have the right to ban such organizations. He said, “The BJP adores Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel now. But Patel had banned the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Jawaharlal Nehru had later revoked the ban.”

“The Supreme Court’s stand over hate politics is very clear. We had made the statement in our manifesto as a part of it. But we have no intention of banning Bajrang Dal. State Congress president D K Shivakumar has made it clear today,” said Moily.
