Kundapur: Mortal remains of youth who drowned in Varahi river found

Kundapur, May 7: The mortal remains of Suhas M (21), a resident of Sullia, who went missing after entering the Varahi river for swimming on Friday, have been discovered on Saturday.

Suhas had gone swimming in the Varahi river with his friends at Sauda of Bidkalkatte in Kundapur taluk on May 5. Unfortunately, he drowned and could not be located.

On Saturday morning, Suhas's body was found approximately 200 meters away from the drowning spot. After the post-mortem examination, the Kota police handed over the body to the family members.

Suhas worked as a medical representative in an ayurvedic company in Moodbidri and was a pillar of support for his family. His father, Madthila Meeranatha Gowda, has two children, a son and a daughter. The family is devastated by the sudden death of their earning member.

A case has been registered by the Kota police.
