Mangaluru, May 8: Mangaluru sitting MLA U T Khader said, “The upcoming election is between truth and lies, right information and misinformation.”

Addressing media on Monday May 8, he said, “Lies are the capital of BJP as they are not in favour of truth. The BJP spread misinformation to divert the minds of people from their corruption, administration failure, and rise in prices of commodities. The public has not forgotten the pain and will express that on May 10. We have announced guarantee scheme for the benefit of the public. The BJP loss is a guarantee and Congress coming to power is also a guarantee. We will implement the guarantee which we have announced.

“If we come to power in May, all our guarantees will be implemented within a month. If I an elected as an MLA and if the guarantee does not reach people within 6 months, then I will resign as an MLA. We will bring rules to control price which are rising every day now. We need to learn from the BJP how to cheat people as they have continuously cheated people. The district in charge minister and Nalin Kumar Kateel should answer the people,” he said.

When asked about the ban on Bajrang Dal in the Congress manifesto, Khader said, “We support organizations which work for the society and within the limits of the constitution. We oppose organizations which go against the constitution and disrupt peace and harmony in the society.”

District Congress president Harish Kumar, KPCC cice president Padmaraj, Congress leader Santhosh Shetty, Naveen D’Souza, and former MLC Ivan D’Souza were present.
