Kaup, May 8: A massive bike rally was held by Kaup Congress candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake on Monday, May 8 before concluding the public campaign.

The rally started from Hejamady and ended at Katapady. Thousands of supporters participated in the rally and extended their support to candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake.

Speaking at a public meet held in Katapady, Vinay Kumar Sorake said, “Today we have witnessed a historical turnout of supporters for the bike rally. There was an electrifying turnout of people. I thank all the participants for their support. The next two days are crucial. We have to be watchful. The opposite party may play a money card and may lure the voters. We will witness unexpected results this time. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the one who betrayed his own party and joined hands with the BJP has come to campaign for BJP in Kaup constituency today. A lot of development has taken place during my tenure. The opposition party is accusing me of being a native of Puttur, I was born in Puttur, but I have been working actively in the last 23 years in Udupi. Likewise, Member of Parliament Shobha Karanadlanje is also from Puttur. Today under the BJP rule 32 temples have been demolished in the state” he said.      

Congress leaders Devi Prasad Shetty, Rakesh Malli, Abdul Gafoor, Deepak Kotyan, Jitendra Futardo, Akhilesh, Rameez, Karthik, Sharpuddin, Nazir, Rajasekhara Kotyan, Ashok Kumar Kodavur, Kapu Diwakara Shetty, Navin Chandra Shetty, Naveen Chandra Suvarna, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Shivaji Suvarna, Dinesh Putran, Harish Kini were present.
