M'luru: Seventh day of Tredicina devotion preceding St Anthony feast held in Milagres shrine

Mangaluru, Jun 6: The seventh day of Tredicina devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony of Padua was held on June 6 at St Anthony Shrine, Milagres Church.

Fr Nelson Peres, assistant director, Anthony Ashram celebrated the Eucharistic and prayed forthe people working abroad along with Fr Avinash Pais, assistant director of St Anthony Ashram, Jeppu.

Fr Nelson preached on the theme, 'Word of God: The Way, the Truth and the Life'. Fr Nelson said, “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The way of Jesus is narrow, difficult to follow and requires a lot of sacrifices. The life of Jesus flows in us and we remain united with him through the Word of God, Eucharist and loving the sacrament of reconciliation."

At the end of the Mass, Fr Avinash Pais, assistant director of the Ashram led the novena in honour of St Anthony, during which the special intercession of the session was sought for the various needs and prayer intentions of the devotees.

Choir members of Rosario Cathedral parish sang and joined in the thanksgiving. Payasam (sweet dish) was served to all the devotees who attended the devotion.
