Mangaluru, Jul 29: Anand Karkera is a drama artiste. He has given life to hundreds of characters on stage and entertained people with his unique acting skills. But unfortunately, his health issues made him discontinue the stage activities and is now struggling for life.

After experiencing slight difficulties in heath, Anand’s family members took him to a clinic for examination. After a detailed examination, it was confirmed that she is suffering from carcinoma hypopharynx (throat cancer).The doctors from A.J Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangaluru have recommended radiotherapy and chemotherapy with specialized treatment. The specialized treatment is estimated to cost Rs 7,00,000.

Anand lives with his wife Ranjini and a son in a rented house near Nanthoor, Mangaluru. Ranjini, a homemaker and son, a daily wager, are now helpless and watching in dismay as their breadwinner's health is deteriorating with each passing day. They have already made a huge loan for the initial treatment. Now they are seeking financial help from willing donors to save Anand's life. They hope that his treatment continues and he can lead a normal life again.
