Nagaraja Rao (72), Mitrabettu Sulledu Melmane resident left home at around 12.45 pm on July 29 and never returned home. His daughter Prashanti filed a complaint with Shirva police on the same evening.

Mortal remains of Nagaraja were found in a bush near a deserted area of a poultry farm near his house in completely decomposed state.

It is suspected that Nagaraja, who was walking, must have collapsed due to some sickness inside the bush. Soori Shetty, social worker of Kaup and his team helped in shifting the mortal remains to Udupi district hospital. Shirva police are continuing the investigation.
