Media Release

Moodbidri, Aug 29: Fruit is natures candy. Everytime one eats a fruit, it is an opportunity to nourish your body and health. To bring awareness of importance and consumption of fruits in the regular diet, the twinkling stars of kindergarten celebrated Fruits Day on August 23. The occassion was to teach children about the health benefits of fruits, nature's most fantastic food.

Preschooler of UKG represented the fruits of their choice through their colourful dress.

The short programme started with a prayer conducted by Reuben followed by a glorified prayer song sung by UKG A students.

Rhythmic action song seized the attention of toddlers. Some thoughts of little youngsters were also shared amoung each other.

Fascinating activites were conducted in the classroom. Tiny tots learnt about the taste smell, colour, and texture of each fruit. Children were sensitized towards the importance of washing fruits before eating. Watching the students carrying fruits for salad making activity was a pleasant sight. Teachers demonstrated the process of peeling, cutting and mixing the different fruits and the yummy fruit salad was ready to relish. Children also coloured and drew the pictures of their favourite fruit as a part of classroom activity.

In a nutshell, tiny toddlers were found to be quite thrilled and were positive on the fact that fruits are better than junk food.

This occassion aimed at embracing a twin idea of healthy fruit eating habit and hygiene.
