Mangaluru: 13th convocation ceremony of K S Hegde Medical Academy held

Mangaluru, Nov 7: Founder and chairman Allcargo Group and chairman board of governors IM Mumbai Shashikiran Shetty and former judge of Supreme Court and Former Lokayukta Justice Santhosh Hegde conferred with doctor of science (honoris cause) degrees at the 13" convocation ceremony of K S Hegde Medical Academy Deralakatte on Saturday November 4.

As many as 1,256 students graduated and 25 PhD holders were awarded their certificates. As many as 31 students bagged gold medal for their academic excellence.

Executive director for international affairs Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg USA, Prof Dr Omid Ansary said, “Students should have certain goals in their life. In order to succeed, we should believe ourselves and our skills.”

Chancellor N Vinaya Hegde, pro chancellor hospital management Dr M Shantharam Shetty, pro chancellor administration Vishal Hegde, controller of examination Dr Prasad B Shetty, registrar Dr Harsha Halahalli and others were present.

Vice chancellor Dr M S Moodithaya welcomed the gathering and Dr Siddarath compered the event.
