Mangaluru: Bus, truck collide near Ambedkar Circle at Jyoti - 4 including driver injured

Mangaluru, Nov 12: Four persons including the driver of a bus got injured after it collided with a truck near Ambedkar Circle of Jyoti in the heart of the city in the early hours of Sunday, November 12.

The accident took place at around 5.15 am. The truck was coming from Bunder end and the bus was moving from Bunts Hostel to State Bank. The front portion of the bus is totally damaged due to the impact of the collision.

A street light pole and CCTV poles got damaged in the accident.

Traffic police rushed to the spot.

    This is a eye opener to keep the signal light functioning at the Ambedkar circle erstwhile Jyothi circle. Why only waiting for a person to be sacrificed to get the signal working? Very dangerous place.. ................ for everyone even pedestrians.

    I always see my death when I navigate that junction. Non operational traffic lights, indifferent traffic police standing near KMC hospital gate are the icing on the cake!

    the bus seems a long distance one...usually the drivers of these think they are driving an aeroplane in sky...thank god that no one died...very common in third world countries.
