Kasargod: Toddler gets run over by car at house, dies

Kasargod, Nov 13: In a heart-wrenching incident that occurred at Sonkal near Uppala in the district, a 1.5-year-old boy was killed in the verandah of his house as he came under the wheels of the car of his uncle.

The tragic incident took place on Sunday night. The deceased is identuifed as Mastul Jishan, son of Nissar, a resident of Sonkaal Kodange.

Jishan’s uncle was moving the car forward. He could not see Jishan who was standing in front of the car. Though the child was immediately taken to hospital in Mangaluru by relatives and locals, he had breathed his last by then.

Manjeshwar police registered a case in this regard.

    Oh No.May the childs soul rest with angels.He was moving the vehicle?How driving?Or Pushing.?When one knows there is child in house ,should also care.Not simply let it go anywhere eat any thing.Parents have that responsibility.Child cant understand .Heartfelt sympathy to the family.Really a tragody.

    No words to express...really sad....many a times people are so casual while parking or removing the vehicle from parking in their houses and garage...especially when toddlers are around one should be extremely careful...
