Mangaluru: Day-long ‘Srinivas Job fair 2023’ inaugurated

Mangaluru Nov 27: Director-finance, GlowTouch Technologies CA M N Pai inaugurated the day-long Srinivas Job fair 2023 here at Srinivas University, Pandeshwar campus on Monday November 27.

Addressing the gathering, CA M N Pai said, “I congratulate Srinivas University for organizing the job fair. This will give a platform to the industries to select the candidates they are looking for. This is a very good programme for any educational institution. I can recall the days when we used to look into newspapers on a regular basis in search for job vacancies. Today, many aspirants come for interview unprepared. They need to learn how to prepare for the interview and have behavioural core competence which is more important.”

Chief of internal vigilance and chief compliance officer Karnataka Bank, Nirmal Kumar Kechappa Hegde said, “In the earlier days, we were anxious regarding jobs, as there were very less opportunities and organized sectors. One needs to make sure to be strong in fundamentals, have in-depth knowledge on the subject and not restricting oneself to one places. One needs to challenge himself or herself.”

Pro chancellor Srinivas University, Dr A Srinivas Rao urged the aspirants to have a positive attitude.

Registrar-evaluation, Dr Srinivas Mayya D, registrar-development Dr Ajay Kumar, vice chancellor in-charge and registrar Dr Anil Kumar were present.

Training and placement officer Srinivas University Prof Shwetha Pai welcomed the gathering, Prof Shwetha Bhat proposed vote of thanks, and Riya Uppala and Prof Divya Shetty compered the event.

More than 50 companies are taking part in the event offering over 800 job vacancies.
