Udupi, Nov 28: President of Karnataka state minority commission Abdul Azeem and secretary Salma Firdous visited the family of Nejar murder victims and offered condolences.

The delegation met head of the family Noor Mohammed and other relatives. It assured the family of suitable legal action at government level.

Speaking to media Abdul Azeem said, “I have met the family and expressed my condolences. I am in touch with police continuously from the day the tragedy took place. I have also inspected the spot of murders. The murderer stabbed Ainaz 15 to 20 times. This shows how much anger and jealousy he had on Ainaz. Police have to investigate the matter. I also urge the government to provide Asad, brother of slain Ainaaz, police sub-inspector post on sympathy grounds. Udupi police should handle this case suitably and take action to get stringent punishment to the accused.”

Leaders M A Gafoor, family members Ashraf and others were present.
