Puttur: St Philomena PU College students qualify for National School Games Federation of India

Puttur, Dec 7: In the state level sports meet, Pruthvi K of second SEBA 'B' won the silver medal in Hammer throw event with 39.02 meters and Amritha K of second SCBA won the silver medal in High Jump event with 1.38 meters and are qualified to the National School Games Federation of India to be held in Mumbai. The state level sports meet was organized by the department of School Education (Pre-University), Bengaluru. The competition was held at Dharwad from November 27 to 29.

Amritha K and Pruthvi K were trained by Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, the physical directors, St Philomena PU College, Puttur.

The correspondent Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, the campus director, Fr Stany Pinto and the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta congratulated Amritha and Pruthvi.
