Bahrain Billawas to organize GCC ladies cricket tournament 2023

Bahrain, Dec 14: Bahrain Billawas will be holding a cricket tournament for ladies from their community spread in the Gulf cooperation council states for the first time as part of their twentieth anniversary celebrations. Bahrain Billawas have already prepared a blueprint to celebrate the occasion in a meaningful way. The cricket tournament will be held at Gulf Air club outdoor stadium, Salmabad here at 7.30 am on December 15.

The Billawas teams from Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Dubai besides the host country of Bahrain will be participating in the tournament. Besides the players, more than 100 people from the gulf countries will be arriving on the island to participate in the tournament. The soft ball tournament of limited overs will be held on the league stage. Preparations for the tournament are underway. The auction process of the players, inauguration of the trophies and the unveiling of the uniforms have been completed.

A colourful cultural programme will be held during the concluding celebrations of the tournament at 5.30 pm. Dignitaries in the island will participate and give away prizes to the winners. More than 75 dancers will perform dances at the sports ground. Fire games and dragon dances are arranged. Popular Nagpur troupe of the island will also present their performance.
