Delhi bomb blast: 2 Kashmir email suspects sent to police custody

Jammu, Sep 14 (IANS) A court in Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday sent two youths to 10 days in police custody for allegedly sending an email claiming that terror group Harkat-ul-Jehadi-Islami had triggered last week's Delhi High Court blast.

The state police moved the district and sessions court in Kishtwar to seek remand of the two Class 11 students, who were among the seven detained for their alleged role in sending the email from an internet cafe in Kishtwar, some 230 km northeast of Jammu, last week. For reasons of law, names of both students who are juveniles cannot be disclosed.

The other five have been set free.

However, the father of one of the arrested students told reporters in Kishtwar that the email was received before his son reached the internet cafe.

The two suspects are likely to be shifted to Delhi for further interrogation.

A special team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is also probing the Sep 7 blast which left 13 dead and around 90 injured.
