Mangaluru: St Agnes School CBSE organizes road safety week

Mangaluru, Jan 17: Every year, the Karnatakas state government organizes a road safety week in January to promote awareness about safe driving practices. On January 16, St Agnes School CBSE also joined in by organizing an awareness programme for its students, graced by the presence of Gopala Krishna Bhat, police inspector of Mangaluru East Traffic. The event commenced with a prayer service to seek blessings.

During Bhat's informative speech, he urged the students to follow road safety rules and to encourage others to do the same. He highlighted the significance of being vigilant while driving to avoid potential accidents on the road.

The ceremony was attended by Sr Lenita Lobo AC, vice principal, Sr Sweedal Fernandes AC, coordinator, teachers, students, and police personnel. The event was hosted by Priya Noronha, and Chandrika welcomed the gathering. Dora D'Souza proposed a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for the enthusiastic participation of everyone involved.
