Businessman Killed in Housebreak

New Delhi, Sep 21 (IANS): Two armed housebreakers killed a 35-year-old businessman in west Delhi and took away cash and valuables worth lakhs of rupees early Wednesday morning, police said.

They forced entry at gunpoint and tied up snack store owner Virendra Sachdeva and his wife, kept them in separate rooms, leaving their four-year-old daughter sleeping.

Sachdeva was struck with a hard object when he protested. They fled after ransacking the house.

Neighbours came when Sachdeva's wife raised an alarm and they found him in a pool of blood. He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead.
