He was addressing the annual camp of the NSS unit of MGM College, Udupi at Asha Nilaya. He said that all the volunteers should make good use of the opportunity to get to know the specially abled children closely.
Principal of the college, Prof Lakshminarayan Karanth, who presided over the function, said that the college is celebrating platinum jubilee. For the first time in the history of the college, the NSS camp is being held in a school for special children.
He wished that the lessons learned in this camp would bring good to all. President of Udupi District Cooperative Union Indrali Jayakara Shetty participated as the chief guest. Asha Nilaya Board member Stephen Karkada, warden Divyajyoti, college IQAC coordinator Prof Shailaja, college professors were present.
Camp officer Suchith Kotian delivered introductory remarks, camp officer Rekha N Chandra conducted the oath. Volunteer Amrita welcomed and Avyakt proposed the vote of thanks. Anvita M Tantri compered the programme.
