Bantwal, April 18: “Congress candidate Padmaraj R Poojary conducted a lightning election campaign since this morning travelling across Bantwal Vidhana Sabha constituency. He visited houses, commercial complexes and shops seeking votes for himself and the party in the elections.
He said that he will remain as the people's watchman. As party workers saw their candidate visiting their hometown, they garlanded him, draped shawls around him and in some places burst fire crackers. They were with candidate Padmaraj R Poojary and intensified the candidate's electioneering speed.
Brisk campaigns were held at Badaga Bellur, Ammunje, Badakabail junction, Kallige, Brahmarakootlu, Shediguri, Balthila, Sorikumeru, Mani, Budoli, Perlapu, Kadeshwalya, Neralakatte, Anantadi, Mangilapadav, Kalladka, Amtoor, Bollai, Mitanadka, Kanyana, Kodangai, Salethore, Bolanthoor, Manchi, Kukkaje junction, sajipa Munnoor, Nandavara junction, Panemangalore and Melkar junction.
Former minister and district election in-charge, Ramanath Rai said Congress is the party that has worked for the poor. “Therefore, Congress needs to come back to power. Begin the series of victories by the victory in Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
Congress candidate Padmaraj R Poojary said he will remain as people's guard. “I have brought even the last person in the society to the mainstream. I will continue my social work in the future as well. The Congress government has launched guarantees among other projects for the economic welfare of the backward classes. They will reach each household and jobs will be created along with them in the district. I will work as your voice in the parliament. I will work as the MP and as your guard,” he said.
DCC president Harish Kumar said everybody will be made to get their livelihood and their part. “A government for the poor is the need of today. Ensure Congress party candidate Padmaraj R Poojary's victory for the initiative towards the poor and all round growth of the backward classes,” he requested.
Padmaraj R Poojary started his campaign after visiting Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in the morning. He later visited Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple, Modankap Church, Narikombu, Hanuman Mandira, Mogarnad Sri Lakshminarasimha Temple, Kanyana Kaniyoor Sri Chamundeshwari Temple and offered prayers.
