Udupi, May 1: MAHE trustee Vasanthi R Pai inaugurated the Dr Ramdas M Pai Block in the presence of Dr Ranjan R Pai, chairman of MEMG and president of MAHE Trust on the 126th birth anniversary of Dr T M A Pai.

It aims to transform medical and healthcare services to deliver personalised high-quality patient care and services.

Kasturba Hospital, Manipal has been catering to large number of patients since its inception in 1961 as envisioned by the visionary and founder of Manipal Late Padmashree Dr T M A Pai to all sections of the society with affordable cost and delivering high standard of health care delivery. Over the last few years under the realm of MAHE leadership and the Hon. Chancellor of MAHE Dr Ramdas M Pai , the hospital has been constantly upgrading its services to provide better and high quality medical education and Medical care through its professionally skilled and trained Medical and support staff , it had done a marvellous health care delivery services during the Pandemic stages to the Covid-19 affected patients coming from all over the state and outside the state to get the best medical care.

Kasturba Hospital, Manipal now aims to Transforms its services to provide personalised and faster care to patients through its newly built Dr Ramdas M Pai Block at its premises, with the state of the art facilities and services.

The block consists of premium OPD consultation provision for enabling patients to avoid long ques and meet expert consultants of their choice by booking online appointments and consultation times of their choice.

The Block will consist of 10 OPD consultation rooms, 34 Double Occupancy Rooms, 75 Single Rooms, 4 Major multi-disciplinary state of the art Operation theatres, 4 Premier suit rooms with 4 Pre-Op beds, 4 Post Op beds, 14 ICU beds, 10 HDU beds and 16 Bedded Day care unit. Total of 161 inpatient beds in the New Block.

The Block has been built to provide a better and upgraded premium service to patients and their attenders, which will cater to sample collection, Diagnostics and Day care procedures including a high-end Bi-plane Cath lab catering to Interventional Radiology procedures.

The block also has facilities to cater to international patients with an exclusive International Patient Lounge that will enable foreign patients get access to medical and administrative facilities in a single area.
