Mangaluru: ENVISION – 2024 inauguration held at Srinivas Institute of Technology

Mangaluru, May 2: The Inaugural function of ENVISION-2024, National level Techno-Cultural fest was held on Thursday, May 2 in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil. Shipra Rai, vice president, People operations, Niveus Solution Pvt. Ltd Mangalore was the chief guest. Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president, A Shama Rao Foundation presided over the function. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University, and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation was the guest of honour. Notable presence included A Vijayalaxmi R Rao, trustee and Board member of Srinivas University, Mangaluru, and Er A Mitra S Rao, trustee and Board member of Srinivas University, Mangaluru. The dais also featured Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal and convener, Dr Rajesh, Envision coordinator, and student coordinators of Envision 2024.

Shipra Rai, in her address, outlined three key qualities for student success: strong technical aptitude for teamwork, exceptional communication for leadership, and a commitment to lifelong learning for deep domain knowledge. She further emphasized the importance of event participation to develop communication, confidence, and leadership skills. Rai concluded by highlighting the role of Techno-Cultural festivals in shaping student identity through technical and cultural expression.

Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, stressed the importance of continuous learning throughout a student's career. He encouraged undertaking consultancy projects during college to gain valuable corporate exposure. Furthermore, he motivated students to consider entrepreneurship as a path to create job opportunities and contribute to the nation's economic growth.

Dr A Srinivas Rao, during his address, noted Envision's consistent introduction of innovative events, tailored to students' ideas for knowledge enhancement. He expressed satisfaction with the substantial turnout of over 800 participants at ENVISION 2024. Additionally, he underscored the importance of students establishing career goals and diligently pursuing them through academic endeavors and engagement in activities such as Envision.

Er A Mitra S Rao, in her speech, highlighted ENVISION as a dream for emerging engineers, providing them with an opportunity to showcase various forms of art and display their talents. Furthermore, he urged students to engage actively in extracurricular activities alongside their academic pursuits, in order to securing positions at reputed companies.

Dr Rajesh, assistant professor, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, convener of the programme, briefed about the various activities of Envision 2024. Sumana, organizing secretary of Envision 2024, welcomed the gathering. Snageetha Devadiga, Envision coordinator, introduced the chief guest. Jibin T V, Student Council president proposed a vote of thanks. Neha Gatty and Vishal were the master of ceremonies.
