Mangaluru-origin Fr Anil William Crasta appointed associate director of CARITAS India by CBCI

Mangaluru, May 28: Fr Anil William Crasta, a clergy of the diocese of Gulbarga has been appointed as associate director for CARITAS India by Conference of the Catholic Bishops of India (CBCI) in its 147th standing committee meeting held on May 9-10 at Delhi. This same has been announced by Archbishop Anil Couto, secretary general, CBCI.

Fr Anil Crasta hails from God the Holy Spirit Church, Bajal in Mangalore diocese. His mother is Leena Crasta. He is brother of Laveena Crasta and the late Sunil Crasta.

He was ordained priest in April 28, 2009 for the diocese of Gulbarga. He has completed his philosophy in Masih Vidya Peet, Agra and theology in St Joseph Seminary, Jeppu. He served as director of Milagres Church, Itga, director of ORBIT and Sevasangama, social service organisations, and is presently serving as mission director of St Paul Mission, Ekamba in Bidar district.
