Udupi: Bright Group Friends (R) Sood inducts new office-bearers

Udupi, Jun 3: The Bright Group Friends (R) Sooda, known for its social work, entered its 28th year with the induction ceremony for its 2024-25 office bearers on Sunday, June 2. 
 
The event commenced under the chairmanship of president Raviraj, with a prayer led by Prarthana and a welcome address by Jerry L D'Souza.
 
 
The event was inaugurated by Shreesh Bhat, the chief  priest of Sooda Sri Subrahmanya Temple, who lit the ceremonial lamp and offered blessings. The society's honorary advisor, Samajaratna Sooda Shankar Kundar, announced the new office-bearers: President Shrinath Shetty, secretary Aneesh Acharya, treasurer Suraj Kulal, joint secretary Bharat Devadiga, and joint treasurer Shreyas Devadiga. Outgoing president Raviraj formally handed over the society's records to the incoming president, Shrinath Shetty, who sought everyone’s cooperation for effective leadership.
 
Chief guest Sudhakar Shenoy, Headmaster of Palimar Primary School, spoke on organisational management. Another guest, Kishan Palli, president of the prestigious Utsahi Sangh (R) Adapadi, addressed the challenges and growth of the society and wished the new office-bearers well. Honorary president Pradeep Devadiga and Janani Mahila Mandal Sooda founder Deepika Ashok praised the society's efforts.
 
Raviraj reflected on his tenure, thanking the members and locals for their support, and promised continued assistance to the new administration. Guests were honoured with plants. Jerry L. D'Souza gave the vote of thanks, and Raghavendra Devadiga compered the event.
