Kundapura, Jun 8: Byndoor MLA Gururaj Gantihole has accused the state Congress government of prioritising guarantees over the welfare of the state, claiming they have neglected crucial issues.
Gantihole's remarks came during a protest organized by the Kundapura ABVP at Shastri Circle in Kundapur on Saturday, June 8, to highlight the mismanagement of government buses.
Addressing the gathering, Gantihole lamented the complete collapse of the administrative machinery, which has resulted in immense suffering for students and the general public. He specifically criticised the government's failure to ensure a reliable bus system for students' daily commutes. Emphasising the importance of addressing students' complaints promptly, he stressed that any form of intimidation or threats against them would not be tolerated.
Gantihole urged the district administration to take immediate action and inform the government about the deplorable state of government buses, thereby alleviating the current inconveniences faced by students. Despite the persistent rain during the protest, the unwavering commitment of the students in braving the weather and participating garnered widespread appreciation.
