Udupi, Jun 8: In anticipation of the monsoon season, Malpe Beach has implemented a comprehensive set of safety protocols aimed at protecting visitors from potential hazards. Central to this strategy are the prominent warning flags strategically placed throughout the beach area.

A total of 40 red flags, each bearing the stark message 'Danger, No Entry', serve as a visual reminder of potential dangers. Visitors are urged to exercise caution until these flags are replaced with the reassuring sight of yellow flags, indicating safe conditions for sea entry.

"To further mitigate risks, Malpe Beach has installed seven-foot-high safety nets along a one-kilometer stretch of its main beach," said a spokesperson for the beach management. "These nets act as a barrier against potential hazards, providing an additional layer of protection for beach enthusiasts."

The backbone of the safety operation lies in the presence of highly trained lifeguards stationed along the beachfront. "Equipped with patrol vehicles fitted for swift emergency response, these lifeguards are prepared to spring into action at a moment's notice," stated the head of the lifeguard team.

Additionally, announcements over loudspeakers will keep the public informed about current beach conditions, ensuring heightened awareness among visitors.

Continuous beach patrol, facilitated by ATVs and sand bikes, underscores Malpe Beach's commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all. These measures will remain in effect until the conclusion of August or the onset of September, contingent upon prevailing sea conditions.

"In light of these safety precautions, beach management urges all visitors to fully cooperate with the implemented protocols and adhere strictly to safety guidelines," emphasized the spokesperson. "By working together, we can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all at Malpe beach during this monsoon season."
