Sullia, Jul 1: The Bellare police have cracked a two-year-old house theft case involving the theft of gold ornaments worth approximately Rs 1,48,000 and Rs 30,000 in cash, totaling Rs1,78,000. The incident occurred in Dadddu, Edamangala village, Kadaba taluk, within the jurisdiction of Bellare Police Station.
The case was registered at Bellare Police Station under Crime No. 22/2022, sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. After conducting an investigation for the past two years, the police have apprehended the accused, Sharath (24), a resident of Neriya, Beltangady. The stolen items have been recovered and seized.
The successful resolution of this case was achieved under the guidance of district superintendent of police, C B Rishyant, IPS, and district additional superintendents of police, Jagadeesh M, KSPS, and Rajendra, KSPS. The team was led by Vijay Prasad, deputy superintendent of police, Puttur subdivision, and Sulya circle inspector, Sathyanarayana K. The investigation team included Santosh B P, police sub-inspector, and Bellare police station staff members Naveen K, Chandrashekhar Gowda, Santosh G, driver Purandara, and fingerprint unit members Prashanth Hosamani and Sachin B B.
The investigation team has received commendations from the district superintendent of police and appreciation from the public.
