Bengaluru, Jul 2: After the alleged Rs 187 crore scam in the Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Corporation, BJP opposition leader R Ashoka has dubbed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as ‘GolmaalCM’ and alleged a ‘loot’ of Rs 4,000 crore in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).
In a post on X social media, the BJP leader alleged that a site has been transferred to Siddaramaiah’s wife by MUDA ‘flouting all rules’ and pointedly asked how he is justifying the transfer of the site in his wife’s name against all rules in Mysuru.
Quoting a Kannada newspaper report, Ashoka wanted to know why the MUDA officers were ‘merely transferred instead of being suspended’ and asked ‘whom are you protecting’.
The BJP leader demanded that the site transfers in MUDA involving a scam of Rs 4,000 crore be referred to CBI for investigation or a judicial probe headed by a retired High Court judge must be instituted. “The appointment of two IAS officers for a probe is an attempt to hush up the scandal,” he said.
Ashoka asked the Chief Minister the clarify the rationale for the 50:50 basis for allotment of sites by MUDA and why site was not allotted in the same layout instead of the allotment in a more ‘profitable’ alternative site and wanted to know who gave the permission to allot site without approval by the State Cabinet.
He has asked how this scam in the Chief Minister’s home district of Mysuru without the concurrence the Chief Minister.
