Mangaluru, Jul 3: In a landmark judgment, the sixth additional district and sessions court in the city sentenced five individuals, including the wife of the victim, to life imprisonment on Tuesday for the murder of Ismail, a 59-year-old resident of Pavoor under the Konaje police station. The incident, driven by an illicit relationship, occurred in 2016 and shocked the local community.
Ismail's wife, Nabeesa (40), had an illicit relationship with Jamal Ahmed (38), which led to frequent quarrels. In response to Ismail's objections, Nabeesa orchestrated a plot to have her husband killed. The co-conspirators, including Abdul Munaf alias Munna (41) and Abdul Rehman (36) from Ullal, and Shabbir (31) from Boliyar, were all part of the murder plan.
