Kangana Ranaut slapgate: CISF constable transferred to Bengaluru, but ‘remains under suspension’

Chandigarh, Jul 3 (IANS): Amid speculation about the reinstatement of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh Airport last month, media reports quoting the CISF said on Wednesday that she has been transferred to Bengaluru but “remains under suspension”.

After the incident, she was suspended. Official sources said she has been reinstated and posted in Bengaluru.

Kaur was booked under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 341 (wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The CISF constable was initially detained and later suspended after Kangana told CISF officials on her arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi that she was slapped and abused by a woman constable at the Chandigarh Airport before she boarded the flight to Delhi.

“I was hit on the face, abused. I am safe but concerned about terrorism in Punjab,” Ranaut had said in a video uploaded on her X handle with the caption, “Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab”.

The constable, who was on duty at the Chandigarh Airport for the past two-and-a-half years, was seen on television channels after the incident, stating that she was upset because of the kind of statements made by Kangana during the farmers' agitation.

“She (Kangana) made a statement that the farmers were sitting in protest for Rs 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made this statement,” Kaur had added.

She is being moved to Bangalore to ensure proper investigation. Once the investigation is over, she will have to face the music for associating herself with value more than Rs. 100. I do not think a suspended constable will be pressed into service in the Bangalore airport. She can eat idly sambar and ragu mudde while reflecting on her action which was beyond her job description.

Kangana could have proved to be a real life heroine if she had given " patthar ka jawab eet se " ! Hitting someone just because you dislike his comments is disgusting. So also is disgusting of such people who support the constable just of they have affinity to a certain party/leader.

The Congress supporters who are bashing Kangana should understand and instrospect. If the CISF constable who is in power and armed can assaualt a helpless lady and that is right and justified, then even the guards who killed a former PM is right. Both ladies were unarmed and helpless.

Even Kangana had done Wrong. The way CISF lady reacted on duty with Uniform is not Pardonable. Nowadays we are not getting justice instantly so the Frustrated Public react in a Wrong Way.

She deserves a slap from each and every Indian. Like her boss, she never misses an opportunity to insult, humiliate and badmouth the people from opposition parties. Her tongue is not in her control. Her foolish statement on India's independence has insulted everyone and in particular the freedom fighters. She is so ignorant that she does not know who was India’s first PM. Every now and then she comes out with her tweet just to please her masters. I don't think the slap she got would change her behaviours. Now that she is an MP, one can expect more stupidness from her. People don’t expect nonsense from a public figure. If they keep on talking nonsense, one day someone will teach them a befitting lesson. The whole Bollywood except Shabana Azmi, was dead silent when she was slapped because they too hate her. If she thinks she is at the close proximity of her masters and can do or say any damn thing and get away from it, then she is mistaken.

Kangna will never forget the slap she received. in Bollywood, no other actress is as controversial as her. However, such people get support from the BJP and become their own because the BJP’s culture runs in Kangana’s veins. Mark my words, one day Kangana will sink the BJP and all the fekus in Parliament.

..not aware of employment rule, but reinstating her may prove wrong in later stage..if its Congress Govt and incident happens with Congress MP then definitely she wouldnt have been reinstated..these are not ordinary employees..these are Army trained security staffs..some time they are armed with rifles..they cant carry personal issues/political agenda/grieveness in professional duties that also in Airport like establishments..we witnessed a Railway policemen killing passengers..its dangerous..

Mr Ranga, are you so ignorant that she was reinstated NOT by Congress government, but by the BJP government at the centre. The one who slapped Kangana had strong grounds for doing what she did and so the law was on side.

Dear Ashok, Mangalore, Be careful in Bangalore airport. If she finds that you resemble someone who has insulted her mother, she may slap you too. Your celebration of the slap by CISF constable Kaur may be short-lived. Kangana was famous. You are not. We need a disciplined CISF to avert danger to us. Not a force to provide instant justice next time you go to airport.
