Mangaluru, Jul 14: Bajpe police have arrested three individuals and confiscated valuables worth Rs 15 lac from the accused who allegedly wore burqas, poured acid on a woman working at a finance company, and attempted to loot gold ornaments.
The arrested suspects are identified as Preetesh alias Preetu (31), a resident of Bajpe Shantigudde; Dhanraj alias Dhanu (30), a resident of Suratkal Kodikere; and Kusumakara alias Annu (37), a resident of Bala Kumbalakere.
The trio entered the Bajpe Finance office in the heart of Bajpe town on the evening of July 4, wearing burqas, and attempted to loot gold ornaments. A case was subsequently filed at the Bajpe police station.
Preetesh has two theft cases at the Suratkal police station and one at the Bajpe police station. Dhanraj has two attempted murder cases at the Karkala rural police station and one at the Moodbidri police station, while Kusumakara has two theft cases at the Suratkal police station and one at the Bajpe police station.
The police confiscated an Innova car, a Swift car, and a scooter, all worth Rs 15 lac.
