Puttur, Jul 14: A man who allegedly sexually harassed a girl traveling on a KSRTC bus was confronted and assaulted by co-passengers near the Shiradi Ghat vicinity on Saturday.
The accused, who belongs to a different community, was recorded on video being reprimanded by other passengers.
A friend of the accused informed outsiders about the incident, leading to some members of an organization boarding the bus and engaging in arguments with the individual who had filmed the incident.
Uppinangady police arrived at the scene and safely escorted the person who recorded the video to his home.
