Udupi, Jul 27: A leopard was spotted on the verandah of a house in Perampalli near Manipal on Friday night, causing panic among locals.
The residents of the house, alerted by their dog’s barking, did not open the door. When the barking stopped, they checked the CCTV footage and saw the leopard roaming around.
The CCTV footage shows the leopard arriving around 11:15 pm. The dog, upon seeing the leopard, began barking loudly, and the leopard chased it.
Locals report that the leopard has been roaming around Manipal, Perampalli, and nearby areas at night.
