Mangaluru, Aug 20: The Cubs and Bulbuls, Scouts and Guides of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, participated in the 'Geeth Gayana' competition held on August 19 at Bharat Scouts and Guides Bhavan.

The Mangalore City North Association organized the patriotic/ folk song singing competition.

The Cubs and Bulbuls showcased a splendid performance with the Cubs captivating the audience with their spirited rendition of Kannada patriotic songs. Their melody and skill earned them the 1st place, advancing them to the district level event to be held in Moodbidri.

The Bulbuls too impressed the audience with their outstanding performance securing a commendable 2nd place. The Scouts and Guides also participated in the competition, presenting a medley of Hindi patriotic songs. The entire team’s effort exemplified the values of unity, patriotism and love for the country.

The school management, principal and staff have congratulated the Cubs and Bulbuls for their splendid achievement and wish the Cubs good luck for the district-level event.
