Kasargod: Dangling electricity wire sparks panic among locals

Daijiworld Media Network – Kasargod (MS)

Kasargod, Sep 2: An electricity wire is dangerously dangling in the Bajakoodlu area under the Perla substation limits of Enmakaje panchayat, causing panic among local residents.

The wire hangs close to the ground due to two electricity poles being installed at different heights. These poles were erected many years ago, and over time, the wires have sagged dangerously low.

There are several houses in the area, and residents must walk beneath this wire. There is a risk of lengthy objects coming into contact with it, especially when carrying ladders or long tools for agricultural activities. Children playing with long wooden poles could also accidentally touch the wire. Concerned locals have urged the electricity department to address the issue promptly.

Rajgopal, Assistant Engineer at KSEB Perla, stated, “If a written complaint is submitted regarding the dangerously low wire, necessary action will be taken. If there are electricity wires or equipment posing a danger in certain areas that have not come to the department's attention, locals should report it so that the issue can be resolved.”

Engineers answer is very very bad .Really he is a engineer or something else? What responsibility he has towards electriciy dept?Dont he or dept.control this that no accidents take place?Safety is utmost of the locality and citizens?Locals or Panchayat must look at this.Even when he hears about such dangerous situation from locals ,immediately rush and control it.Not when one whole situation gets not to control. Is he now sitting in his chair and drink chai? And collect salary?Complain to Police .

Rediculous, asking for a written complaint. Suitable action should be taken against the AE for negligence.
