Mangaluru, Sep 15: Aloysius Institute of Management and IT (AIMIT), St Aloysius (Deemed to Be University) provided an opportunity for the faculty members from the School of Business and Management and the School of IT to interact with Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe, former chairman of AICTE, chairman (NETF) on September 14 at the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium in the Beeri campus of the University.
The interaction provided a significant opportunity for dialogue and exchange of ideas between policy heads and educators. During the interaction, Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe highlighted the role that exceptional and iconic teachers and educators could play in motivating and shaping the future of the students who come to the portals of the university.
Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe advised the faculty members to share stories of successful professionals and alumni to inspire underconfident students and demonstrate the possibilities available with dedication and hard work. He maintained that faculty members and departments must endeavour to foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident in their abilities and motivated to strive for excellence.
Prof Anil Sahasrabuddhe lauded the efforts that the newly formed university had made in integrating sustainability in the curriculum, and encouraging social responsibility and ethical leadership. He cautioned that continuous efforts must be made to nurture and preserve these values that were ignited through various activities like the rural immersion programme. Dr Praveen Martis SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (deemed to be university) presided over the programme. Dr Fr Kiran Cotha SJ, director, AIMIT, registrar Dr Ronald Nazareth, were present on the dais. Following the talk, the faculty members engaged in an interactive session with the speaker.
The session was both enriching and impactful, offering valuable insights and solutions.
