Bengaluru, Sep 29: ADGP Chandrashekhar, head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT), took a swipe at union minister H D Kumaraswamy, who has accused him of corruption, by referencing the famous quote, "Never wrestle with a pig because you'll both get dirty and the pig likes it."
During a press conference in the city, Kumaraswamy alleged, "ADGP Chandrashekhar is building a 38-floor house near Manyata Tech Park. An FIR was filed against him earlier. This needs to be investigated. I will raise this issue with the union home secretary as well."
In response, Chandrashekhar issued a letter addressing the accusations, stating, "Kumaraswamy has made several allegations against me. He is just an accused in a case and is out on bail."
Reassuring his SIT team, Chandrashekhar said, "Kumaraswamy is attempting to discredit me with false accusations and has even threatened me. Despite being a union minister, he is still an accused. We must carry out our duties diligently. No one can stop us, and I will protect you from any external pressure."
Quoting the renowned Irish writer George Bernard Shaw, Chandrashekhar added, "If we engage in a fight with pigs, we end up dirty because pigs thrive in filth. So, we should not wrestle with pigs. Satyameva Jayate."
