Mangaluru, Oct 1: The Department of Human Resources at St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT), in collaboration with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) Cell, organized an informative training session on the PoSH Act on October 1. The session aimed at raising awareness about the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) Act and its role in ensuring a safe and respectful workplace.
The session was conducted by Dr Monika Sadananda, who provided valuable insights into the importance of creating a positive and respectful work environment. The training, attended by all AIMIT teaching faculty members, was both educational and beneficial, offering a deeper understanding of the Act's implications for workplace safety.
Addressing the participants, Dr (Fr) Kiran Cotha SJ, director of AIMIT, emphasized the collective responsibility of ensuring a safe and inclusive workplace, particularly for women. He also expressed his appreciation for Dr Monika's contribution as the resource person for the session, underscoring the significance of PoSH in fostering a secure work culture at AIMIT.
